Try Hard

Try Hard Productions is the brainchild of best friends Nick Morris and Sorcha Bacon.

These days we are told that our attention span is less than 45 seconds. We want to challenge that; to make films that you can't turn off.
We make films that inspire and tell stories that matter.

We are passionate about creating beautiful short form content whether thats developing a short narrative film or creating music videos for emerging artists.

Over the past year we have produced four short films supported by BAFTA recognised actors and screenwriters including John Logan, Sir Ian McKellen, Stephen Fry and Stephen Mangan and sponsored by ARRI Media, MAC Cosmetics and Fjällräven.

We can't wait to hear from you.

Sorcha [Sor-ah-ha] is a producer based London. Her passion for storytelling resonates in her work which attempts to challenge the expected telling the stories of the lesser heard. Her most ambitious short film 'Nightstand' which was executive produced by Stephen Fry has been picked up for distribution by Peccadillo and has been shown in London, Melbourne, Hong Kong and Paris.

When not producing, Sorcha freelances as an assistant director most recently second assisting feature 'You Can Tutu' directed by James Brown (Still Alice).

Nick Morris is a young and ambitious cinematographer based in London. His first short film was kindly sponsored by Academy Award Nominee John Logan, and he is now in preproduction for his 9th. Nick's work has premiered at the London Short Film Festival and has been shown internationally. Having now shot documentaries for ITV, high profile music promos for Universal and Island Records, and online commercials for the likes of Supra, Volkswagen and Adidas; Nick is looking to find the right opportunity for his first feature length drama in the near future.
